Eye on Innovation Awards for Healthcare and Life Sciences

The annual Gartner Eye on Innovation Awards for Healthcare and Life Sciences recognizes healthcare and life sciences companies for their innovative use of technology to drive best-in-class initiatives. All submissions are assessed by Gartner, and finalists are selected by benchmarking against world-class performance standards. Entry is open to any healthcare and life sciences end-user institutions that have implemented an innovative digital initiative, product or service during the past year.

Innovation areas

The Eye on Innovation Awards for Healthcare and Life Sciences recognize the innovative use of technology-enabled capabilities in these areas:

Innovation Improving Health: Clinical outcomes as well as quality of life
Innovation Improving Cost and Efficiency: Administrative, medical and R&D
Innovation Applying Emerging Technology: Initiatives not otherwise categorized

These areas serve as the evaluation criteria for the awards, both in the initial rounds of submission review and finalist selections by the Gartner analyst community as well as for the expert panel vote to determine the winners.

There will be one winner from each industry sector:

Healthcare providers
Healthcare payers
Life science organizations

Conditions of Participation

Entry is open to executives from any healthcare and life sciences institution (not technology vendors or technology services companies) who implemented an innovation using digital technology capabilities, products or services during the period of January 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023. No entries that launched prior to January 2022 or that have previously participated in the Eye on Innovation awards will be accepted. All entries must be written in English and be submitted by the deadline, June 30, 2023.
